Pistons’ Ausar Thompson, Isaiah Stewart out for season

Detroit Pistons rookie forward Ausar Thompson will miss the remainder of the season while being treated for a blood clot, the team announced Wednesday.The bad news didn’t end there for the Pistons, who announced center Isaiah Stewart will sit out the rest of the season due to a right hamstring strain. Stewart sustained the injury during the third quarter of Detroit’s 119-94 loss to the host Boston Celtics on Monday.Per the Pistons, Thompson has been cleared to resume conditioning and will begin non-contact basketball activities at the conclusion of the regular season. He is expected to be ready to return prior to next season.
