Selena Gomez is looking back on her decades-long friendship with Demi Lovato, reflecting on the childhood experiences and personal milestones that have connected them over the years.
In a heartfelt Instagram message, Gomez celebrated their relationship, which began when they met at age seven while working on the children’s television series Barney & Friends. She acknowledged the changes they have experienced and expressed appreciation for the bond they continue to share.
Both stars later became familiar faces on the Disney Channel, building successful entertainment careers. Their shared history includes starring together in the 2009 Disney Channel movie Princess Protection Program.
Their renewed connection also comes alongside a Rare Beauty campaign titled Still Making Each Other Blush, bringing the longtime friends together for another collaboration.
Lovato has previously spoken about how friendships can evolve as people grow older, while maintaining positive feelings toward Gomez.
For both entertainers, the reunion highlights a connection that began long before their music careers and has remained part of their personal histories through different chapters of their lives.
