The clip, posted to Rodrigo’s Instagram Story on October 12, 2026, featured audio of a voice resembling Roan’s joking about Rodrigo making remixes. The brief teaser quickly caught fans’ attention, raising questions about whether the two pop singers have new music in the works.
Some fans have suggested the project could involve a remix of Expectations, a song from Rodrigo’s third studio album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love.
The possibility of a collaboration comes after the artists developed a professional connection through live performances. Roan previously opened for Rodrigo during her 2024 GUTS World Tour and later performed at Rodrigo’s Daisy Chain Fields festival in August 2026.
